This link has been shared online for a while now, and I think it has a powerful message. Our choice of words is critical in expressing our thoughts and feelings, and also in the way we communicate to others. This does emphasize how, when we choose our words carefully, the impact they can have. I think it is a good example of being mindful of the way we express ourselves. What do you think? Do the words we use in our conversations with our own children and our students have an impact we may not realize?
The Power of Words

I love this video–and agree wholeheartedly. For me, it’s taking a deep breath before I use words that often helps.
I love it too Susan. It really does show the power of words and how our choices can make such a huge difference. Thanks for reading!
Great post, Robin! I’d never seen this version. I show my film students the original as a great example of the range of camera angles and shots, and how the music and other elements create the tone of a piece. This (English) remake captures a lot of that…plus you don’t have to read subtitles!

Thanks Cory, I had seen the original too, and I think both do a good job of “telling a story”. I can see where you would use the original version for what you are trying to emphasize with the different shots and camera angles. For this post I liked the emphasis on the how we choose our words and the impact they can have. Hope you are doing well!
